“Euphegenia Doubtfire,” 2021

During my second years while taking independent study classes, I’d decided to make my focus ‘nature’ for one semester; this allowed me to twist the words around to get a bit more creative liberty.

This portrait of Euphegenia Doubtfire, played by Robin Williams, was one of my first large portraits. I’d used pasteles and ink for the portrait itself along with watercolor for the background. This project challenged me in a number of ways, but made me work on my attention to detail the most because of all the small details within the face area and other parts of the portrait.
